What You Need to Remember Before Choosing Forex Trading Software
By Alan Lim

What are the important factors to be kept in mind when choosing Forex trading software? While there are many, the crucial points are performance of the software and its profit potential. So, how do you choose the right software? There is no dearth of software in the market to assist you with Forex trading. However, if you are a newcomer to this field, beware of software scams. It's not difficult to be fooled by their convincing claims and promises of high returns on investment. Read on to find out exactly what you need to consider before you finalize on the software of your choice.

Fully Automated Software

Forex trading calls for making a lot of complicated decisions. Pondering over these decisions while taking into account a whole lot of information and data is not easy. Especially for newcomers who are still on a learning curve. However, with speed on their side, Forex traders can make very important decisions in a jiffy and speed up the trading process. When buying Forex trading software, find out if it is fully automated. That way you, you will be able to do many things, from the analysis of market conditions to the selection of the best currency pair to trade in much faster.

User Interface Should be Simple

Not all of us are comfortable using complicated software with confusing interface. There is beauty in simplicity, and it would be best to go for Forex trading software that have a simple and user friendly interface. As far as possible, avoid programs that are difficult to use. Choose one that is easy to learn and can be mastered fast. Look for software that can train you with the help of interactive videos. More and more software companies are beginning to include these training videos along with the software.

Server Based Software or Web Based?

There are two types of Forex trading software - one that is server based and another that is web based. The server based software needs to be downloaded from a server and installed on to your computer. A lot of people don't prefer the server based programs as they are rather expensive and call for regular maintenance and updating. The web based software, on the other hand, is much more convenient to use. A user account is created in your name on the website and whenever you want to access your account, you can log in with it and your password. They do not require maintenance, and can be accessed from any computer.

Other Factors to Keep in Mind

Choosing Forex trading software is also a matter of personal preference. You need to go for software that complements your knowledge of the field, experience and interest. When choosing an automated system, go for one that has the ability to convert pips into money. The software should also be capable of being installed on a virtual server. If you are still unsure what kind of software to buy, contact your local brokers and find out what they would suggest. When buying software from a company, thoroughly cross check the testimonials.

Jan 17 -Gaps are the new way of moving the markets forward. It seems, though, that once they open for daily trading the big money isn't interested in maintaining the overnight momentum.

Dec 14 - Lower levels are broke! Bears actually are starting to look pretty good down here. I've turned my bias from bullish to bearish so now we wait to see if options expiration has any more surprises waiting before Friday's close.

Dec 6 - Bulls are getting tired and the bears aren't ready to do much about it. I'm still looking for that pullback into the 1230 area on the SPX and then we'll reevaluate.

Nov 18 - Not much movement today much to the chagrin of bears. I'm sure they were hoping for some follow through after the break of the triangle yesterday but it wasn't to be. I'm thinking next week we get some more down action.

Nov 1 - Bears rip it down again today and give us confirmation of yesterday's moves. The internals were even stronger today than yesterday which just adds to the moves validity. This all comes after basically an entire month of moving upwards so the bears haven't done major damage yet but this is a great start!

Oct 19 - Still moving sideways. Our levels haven't changed too much but I did add a few more lines and talk about some aggressive entries for tomorrow's trading. AAPL got killed after earnings and didn't get any better as the day wore on. It might have even broke an H&S pattern today so it is one to watch.

Oct 11 - A very choppy consolidation day in the markets as the bulls try to find their second wind. I'm waiting to see if that entails a pullback or a high base first. The next two days will give me my answer.

Sept 29 - Today's candle shows that the two parties are still fighting over which direction to take the markets. We go up, we go down, we finish basically flat. Lather, rinse, repeat that movement and you have pretty much covered the past 2 months of trading.

The bulls are relentless in their attempt to take back some ground and scare off the bears. After today's move so far so good! They just continue to break overhead areas of resistance and the NDX is leading the way. So far the week hasn't been all that eventful so I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

A lazy down day today in the markets but I think the larger pattern is becoming a bit more clear. Seems we are just in a large symmetrical triangle right now so there's not a whole lot to be done until the break happens. I'm assuming the boys will say something tomorrow to stir the markets one way or the other.

Bulls come back into the market and put in a pretty good showing. The internals were OK but at least it's a start. I still can't get away from the Daily charts and, while they look a teeny bit better today, the overall pattern is still down in the near future.

Options Expiration week didn't let me down as we finally got a day of volatility in the markets. Most of it came on the gap down to start the morning unfortunately so finding a price to enter was not the easiest task. We ended the day with a quick pop upwards and this may carry over into tomorrow's session but I'm not convinced more lows aren't coming soon.

A very nice push by the bulls this morning that actually started in the after hours last night. We hit a low last night on the futures of 1103 so that makes today's run even that much more impressive. The internals confirmed everything today so the only thing left for the bulls is a little confirmation into Friday.
