Dear Funimation, it's pronounced SOO-bah-roo, not soo-BAH-roo. In three letter names, the first syllable is stressed. Were you just trying to make his name sound different from the car? You do know that Subaru is a constellation, right? It's okay to say his name the same way as the car.
